Eligibility for Non-Resident Indians (NRI) Candidate

·  The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination abroad and is exempted from appearing in JEE or JEE- main (For B.Tech.) or GATE (for M. Tech.) or candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from a school located in India and has NRI status.

·  The NRI candidate will have to produce equivalence certificate of the qualifying examination from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

 

Eligibility for NRI Sponsored Candidate

·   The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in India and must have appeared in JEE and/or JEE-main / GUJCET of the current year. The admission will be granted based on the merit list prepared as per the ACPC rank.

·   The candidate will have to produce a sponsorship letter (as prescribed) from an NRI who will undertake to pay all tuition and other fees for the entire degree program.

·   Documentary evidence of sponsor having NRI Status must also be produced.

Following categories of people will be considered as NRI

·  The passport of a candidate indicating his/her status as ‘Non-Resident Indian’.

·  NRI seats will be filled in by the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located abroad. Merit list for these seats shall be based on the qualifying examination. First preference will be given to NRI candidates in the admission. After existing NRI candidates merit list, if the seats remain vacant, the same will be filled-up by NRI-Sponsored candidates.

M. Tech

PhD

·   Candidate must hold the M.Tech / M.E. degree with minimum 50% marks

·   Candidate must have GATE qualification

·   KPGU shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test conducted at university level. / Admissions to PhD programs are done through the merit obtained at the All-India Entrance Examination as per UGC guidelines (notification no 278, dated at New Delhi, July 5, 2016.)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: (As per notification by Health & Family welfare department, Government

of Gujarat, Gandhinagar)

a)

(i) A candidate shall be a Non-Resident Indian, or

(ii) His/her parents or in absence of his/her parents, his/her legal guardian shall be Non-Resident

India.

 

b) The candidate must have obtained minimum qualifying marks in 12th Standard as per regulatory

Council.

 

c) The candidate should have appeared in NEET-UG examination current academic year and have been

declared “Qualified”.

 

d) A candidate shall have completed 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the Academic

Year for which the admissions are being conducted.

e) “Provisional Eligibility Certificate” should be obtained from concerned University within one month

of admission.

 

MERIT LIST:

 

Admission on the non-resident Indian seats shall be given by ACPUGMEC on the basis of inter-se merit

based on: All India Overall Rank at the NEET-UG examination current academic year from among the

candidates who have applied for admission against the Non-Resident Indian seats.
