Admission Policy

Krishna School for Emerging Technologies & Applied Research

B. Tech

·       Admission to the B. Tech. is strictly on the basis of common entrance examination.

·       GUJCET, JEE or JEE- main examination is cleared by the candidate

·       In case of vacant seat, direct admissions is done on the basis of the cut-off list or merit list.

M. Tech

·      Admission to the M. Tech is strictly on the basis of common entrance examination.

·      Candidates must also be GATE qualified and hold a valid score in the GATE exam.

·      If the candidate is not GATE qualified, then they shall have to appear for an entrance exam and PGCET (ACPC).

PhD

KPGU shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test conducted at university level. / Admissions to PhD programs are done through the merit obtained at the All-India Entrance Examination as per UGC guidelines (notification no 278, dated at New Delhi, July 5, 2016.)

B. Pharm

Admission process is done by The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat.

 

95 % Admission to the B.Pharm. is based on satisfying minimum Eligibility criteria and must appeared for GUJCET 2020.

 

5% Admission to the B.Pharm. is based on Candidate appeared in JEE (Main)/ NEET examination conducted in the corresponding academic and  satisfy minimum Eligibility criteria.

 

Guidelines for filling Vacant Seats

·       Institute offering admission to all the candidates whose names appear in the merit list or after completion of the offline admission process, if the seats remain vacant, such vacant seats shall be filled by institution as vacant seat.  The institute can do publicity as per their perusal for filling the vacant seat.

·       Such vacant seats shall be filled by college or institution by inviting application from the eligible candidates after preparing merit-list as per the eligibility criteria as per the admission rules.

·       The admission process will be strictly on merit based and availability of vacant seats.

·       For filling vacant seats each institute cannot deny in any case to any candidate whose names are in previously prepared merit list by ACPC.

·       Institute must follow fair and transparent procedure for admitting candidates on vacant seats. 

·       The institute shall submit the necessary documents of admitted students against vacant seats as per the format and guideline of vacant seat submission for endorsement from the ACPC.

·       The institute is requested to refund the fees paid by the candidates cancelling the admission as per the admission rules.

M. Pharm

·       Admission process is done by The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat.

·       B. Pharm with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates) at qualifying exam for M. Pharm courses for seeking admission into post Graduate disciplines

·       After admitting GPAT qualified candidates having valid GPAT qualifying marks, the vacant seats, if any will be filled as per merit secured in Entrance Examination.

·       The sponsored seats shall be filled as per Govt. of Gujarat Post Graduate Admission Rules, Guidelines and AICTE Guidelines.

 

Guidelines for filling Vacant Seats

 

Institute shall process the filling up of vacant seats among eligible candidates by displaying vacant seats details on its website, counselling schedule, preparing common intra-se merit list and complete the entire process in accordance with all provisions of prevailing admission notifications of Government of Gujarat for admission to M. Pharm. The Merit list will be based on valid GPAT score or Common Entrance Test (CET) marks  duly obtained by candidate or any such merit based scheme as declared by the institution, giving priority to GPAT qualified candidates and CET appeared candidates in line with rule 11 B of prevailing notification.

PhD

A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. programme must satisfy any one of the following eligibility criteria

·       Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject with 55% or equivalent CGPA / 50% in case of Medical Courses, from any University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in India. (SC / ST candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in marks or equivalent CGPA). Candidates having postgraduate diploma / certificate awarded by an Indian university / institute or foreign degree / diploma/ certificate awarded by a foreign university / institute should in their own interest, obtain and submit the equivalent of their diploma / degree / certificate with Master’s degree of a recognized Indian University from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

·       In case of candidates holding a qualifying degree from a foreign university, registration for PhD will be confirmed after determination of equivalence by KPGU.

·       Master’s degree or equivalent in any subject with 55% marks and five years of experience in the area of interdisciplinary research in which admission is being sought.

·       Candidate who does not fulfil the above mentioned eligibility conditions but wants to pursue PhD, may be considered under the special category of enrolment, provided the PhD Admission Committee is convinced about their academic prowess, professional accomplishments and their capacity to carry out research leading to the award of a PhD degree. Such a candidate with at least 60% marks at the Bachelor’s Degree level from any statutory Indian University or a foreign University with 10 years of research experience and having published 2 papers in peer reviewed journals may be considered eligible for admission to the PhD programme at the sole discretion of the Equivalence Committee constituted by the Provost.

·       The qualifying degree should be recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities /Pharmacy Council of India / All India Council for Technical Education or any other approved and recognized Scientific Bodies of the Government of India and approved by the Academic Council / Board of Management of the University for Provisional Registration for the PhD Degree.

To get the admission in BSc Nursing program in Gujarat state candidates have to follow the following steps:

 

GQ:

1.    Upon the advertisement of admission by State admission committee in newspapers, candidates have to get the PIN by visiting the website: www.medadmgujarat.org by paying 200/- online or at designated axis bank decided by ACPMEC

2.    User Id and PIN will enable candidate to log in to the website to fill-up online Registration form along with self-attested documents as per eligibility criteria and mentioned on website.

3.    Upon submission of form, candidate will get the OTP on registered mobile. Entering OTP and by clicking on submit field the form will be submitted to the ACPMEC.

4.    Merit list will be prepared and declared by the ACPMEC on website.

5.    Candidates will have the online choice filling of desired colleges.

6.    Based upon the merits and the choice of colleges, the  candidates will be given the provisional admission order

7.    Candidates will visit the help centres designated by the area to verify and submit the documents and get the provisional admission order followed by payment of 50% of tuition fees.

8.    Candidate will visit the KNC with provisional admission order and fees receipt.

 

For management quota: Candidate will fill up the ACPMEC form and MQ form by paying the fees. Scrutiny will be done by Management association and admission will be confirmed

 

For vacant quota: Candidates who do not get admission in desired colleges or do not have merits to get admission in desired colleges will directly contact to KNC for admissions.

Admission Offer:

Admissions will be offered as per the merits arrived, based on the composite score computed considering the above given admission criteria and the result will be announced on the Institute’s website. Successful candidates will be informed through the e-mail id provided in the application form. Offer letters will also be sent at the mailing address provided in the Application form. Applicants are, therefore, advised to check the updates on the website and their respective e-mail ids at regular intervals. The Institute will not be responsible for no receipt or delay of any communication which is sent to the candidate’s mailing address and email provided in the Admission Application forms.

 

MBA

Eligibility: A three-year bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2021. They should have appeared in all the examinations of their graduation by the time of commencement of the programme. The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme. The tuition fee paid by such candidates will be forfeited unless such vacant seats are filled by other candidates.

Selection Process

  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in different components of Common Admission Test will be called for Personal Interview and Theme Development & Presentation (TDP). The Interview and TDP will be conducted at various centres across the country.
  • The candidates will be finally selected for admission based on the candidates’ performance in the CAT, TDP, and Personal Interview, Academic Performance in XII and graduation and work experience.

An additional score up to 10 points will be given for fulltime relevant work experience in a professional organization.

While computing the score of the Academic Performance, the following weightage will be given for each component of the score of the Academic Performance.

*only the aggregate marks obtained in the examinations up to pre-final year will be considered for computing the merit, for example in case of a 3-year degree programme first and second year examinations’ marks will be counted and in case a 4-year degree programme first, second and third year examinations’ marks will be counted.

 

Admission Offer

Admissions will be offered as per the merits arrived, based on the composite score computed considering the above given admission criteria and the result will be announced on the Institute’s website. Successful candidates will be informed through the e-mail id provided in the application form. Offer letters will also be sent at the mailing address provided in the Application form. Applicants are, therefore, advised to check the updates on the website and their respective e-mail ids at regular intervals. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt or delay of any communication which is sent to the candidate’s mailing address and email provided in the Admission Application forms.

B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Microbiology

Admission to B. Sc. is done on the basis of the cut-off list or merit list of candidate marks obtained in class 12.

a.          Merit obtained at the Common Entrance Test (CET) that will be conducted by the University on All-India basis.

b.          By Accepting GUJCET or NEET or NET/SET/PET and other scores of any other acclaimed organization in India as applicable.

c.          In case the number of applicants for the notified entrance test (CET) is either equal to or less than the number of seats available for offer of admission then, the admissions shall be done on the basis of inter-se’-merit obtained by the student at the Qualifying Examination (XIIth)
