Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) has been established under the provision of University Grants Commission, 2012 Regulation (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) at Drs. Kiran & Pallavi Patel Global University (KPGU), Vadodara to make the present education system inclusive, to become more responsive to the needs and constraints of the disabled social groups. EOC shall make ensure that students, staffs, faculties or the community from various diverse backgrounds, caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability are not deprived of their righteous opportunities in terms of providing equity, free from any form of harassment, opportunities to higher educational institution, free from ragging, unfavorable treatment and victimization. The University aims to provide equal opportunities among the community and enhance diversity within the campus.

Objectives of the ECC are:

1. To safeguard the interest of the students without any prejudice to their caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability.

2. To eliminate discrimination against or harassment by prohibiting it and by providing preventive and protective measures to facilitate its eradication and punishments.

3. To promote equality among students of all sections of the society.

4. To provide Equal Opportunity for all and not to discriminate against students belonging to SC and ST in admission.

5. To resolve the issues pertaining to caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability of access etc. among the students, staff & faculties.

6. To provide a platform for listening to complaints and redressal of grievances, if any

7. To foster healthy relationship with all.

Complaint Procedure

An aggrieved person (who has been victimized) may launch the complaints by-

Sending an email to eoc@kpgu.ac.in

Note:

Submit the complaint within one months from the date of the incident and in case of a series of incidents within a period of one months from the date of the last incident.
You have to mention all your details like name, designation, mobile no & mail Id, Enrolment no in case of students, staffs & faculties.
Mention the incident description like date, time, location, respondent’s name, working relationships etc.
Committee shall follow the KPGU policy on prevention of discriminations among all.
