Let the Spirit of Inquiry Burn Bright in Our Campus

I am deeply honoured to be a part of the Drs Kiran and Pallavi Patel Global University (KPGU) in the capacity of Provost and Chief Academic Officer at this very special juncture in its momentous history when the institution has got distinct identity to make global presence.

The exceptional vision of honourable President Shree Jagdishbhai Patel has provided very dynamic leadership and guided the University’s development. His strategic agenda will enable the institution to realize a set of ambitious goals by 2025. The Roadmap initiatives constitute comprehensive, sweeping efforts that will impact and elevate every aspect of the University.

Higher education is special. Beneficiary of higher education are expected to take up responsible positions in society. Education prepares young mind to become agents of change and also prepare them for livelihood. Universities are places of social development that inspire and nurture societal values.

Taking into account the current status of the University and strategic planning process, my vision will focus on three main areas: research, academic planning and implementation, and talent management. Keeping up with new trends and fast changes in higher education, we will seek to infuse our courses with active and experiential learning and leverage the use of technology in the classroom. Our Mission is to prepare the students to be life-long learners. All of us at the University are dedicated to the future success of our students. That dedication is reflected in the quality of teaching, thoughtful advising, and mentorship of the University faculty and staff.

KPGU provides ideal learning environment with its innovative approach for designing curriculum and teaching pedagogy. The University is committed to provide good education with world class technology and student centric approach. Learning by association and interaction will be focus of our University. Classroom is a laboratory of ideas. In a classroom, everyone can become a taker and everyone can become a giver of ideas. Our well established Library will provide platform for learning. We will endeavor to prepare our students intellectually, creatively, emotionally and socially ready to use their knowledge to improve society.

We are making new beginning after pandemic. If there is one thing I have learned since the pandemic began, it is the importance of flexibility and of grace toward one another. There are challenging times for higher education and our country, but together we will grow and succeed in our mission to educate students, create knowledge, and provide service to our community and beyond.
